Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-08-04
By using Naqam you agree to the following. It is written plainly, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
1. What Naqam is, and is not
Naqam is a party to the transaction, not a noticeboard.
- We hold the deposit until the event happens — the artist does not receive it before, and the customer does not lose it if the event does not happen.
- We are not party to the performance itself. Its quality and content are between the artist and the customer.
- Public concerts are run by the organizer, who sets their own ticket prices. We sell the ticket and secure the entry.
2. Your account
- Accurate details, and a working WhatsApp number — it is the verification and password-reset channel.
- One account per person. You are responsible for what happens from it.
- Artist and organizer accounts are created by staff after identifying the person — there is no self sign-up, and that is what prevents someone claiming a famous name.
- An artist renaming their page removes its verification until the team reviews it.
3. Booking and payment
The transaction works this way, and no other:
- You send a request; the artist sends a price with a validity window. An unanswered request expires on its own.
- Accepting fixes the price. You pay the deposit plus the service fee as one transfer, with a reference.
- A photo of a receipt is not a payment. A booking is not confirmed until the transfer is matched against the bank statement.
- The balance is paid to the artist directly on the day, outside the platform.
A transfer without the reference cannot be matched to your booking automatically and may be confirmed late. Put the reference in the transfer description.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Before the deposit, cancelling costs nothing. After it:
- A tiered cancellation policy applies, by how close the event is to the cancellation.
- If the artist cancels, the deposit is refunded in full, at any notice. Whoever broke the arrangement does not keep a share of it.
- Cancelling a public concert means refunding the tickets in full — our fees included. We do not charge for a concert that did not happen.
5. Tickets
- One ticket per person, admitted once. A second attempt is refused and the first entry time is shown.
- A ticket code is personal. Passing it on means one of you will not get in.
- Seats are held on a timer and go back on sale if the receipt is not uploaded in time.
- A concert's date, venue and line-up are the organizer's responsibility.
6. What is not allowed
- Impersonation, or a page under a name you do not own.
- Unlawful content, incitement, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Taking a transaction that started here off the platform, or manipulating tickets or prices.
7. Content rights
What you post stays yours. We claim no ownership of your photos, your posts or your posters. But so that we can show them to your audience, posting them grants us a limited permission:
- to display, store and resize them within Naqam only — in the two apps, on your page, and in the admin panel.
- to show your page name, its picture and your concert poster in concert and artist listings, and in notifications to the people who follow you.
- This permission is free of charge, non-exclusive, and not transferable. We do not sell your content, licence it to anyone, or use it in advertising outside Naqam.
It ends when you delete the content or your account: it is removed from Naqam and stops being displayed. You confirm that you own what you post, or have the owner’s permission — and a post that infringes someone else’s rights is hidden when it is reported.
8. Suspension
We may suspend an account that breaks the above. Money genuinely owed to its holder remains owed, and is settled once their outstanding obligations are closed.
